The mission of AVS is to achieve excellence in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery through the application of technology, the expertise of specialists and the compassion of our nursing staff.
Our goal is to provide unsurpassed service and care to our patients, their owners and the referring veterinarians.
About AVS : History
Established in 1992, AVS is the only veterinary specialty hospital of its kind in Central Florida and one of only four of its kind in the state. It offers access to highly-trained, board-certified veterinary specialists in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, oncology, dentistry, behavior and radiology and serving more than 5,000 new patients each year. AVS works in close partnership with family veterinarians throughout Central Florida. All clients must be referred by their family veterinarian.
Providing care 24 hours a day and seven days a week for hospitalized patients, the AVS medical team is larger than that of some major universities and encompasses approximately 90 employees, including both doctors and staff. AVS offers digital radiography, fluoroscopy, endoscopy and ultrasound services, and also features several unique pieces of equipment, including computed tomography (CT) scanner and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
